I can’t do that, that’s not me

 

 

You see that girl running by your window every morning looking fab in her leggings. It all looks so effortless for her. “That’s not me, she must have been born to run.” Nope she put the effort in, worked her arse off and that’s why she looks cracking doing it!

You see that girl in the gym in her sports bra, abs and booty to die for. “It’s an absolute
breeze for her. I can’t do that.”

YES, YOU CAN!! The only difference is where we are on our journey. Think about the one
thing you are absolutely amazing at. Work, reading, mumming, cooking, whatever it is! Now think about the first time you ever done it. Were you as good? Unlikely! Was it a disaster? Probably! But that’s the journey!

Think about what we tell children and teenagers…….. If you want it then you work hard at it and you make it happen…….. You can do anything!

So why does that change for adults? It doesn’t. It certainly becomes harder. We are busy, stressed, knackered and rarely prioritise our health and wellbeing over everything else. Well maybe it’s time for a change! If you really want it then GO FOR IT. Be that person you admire. 

So, what is it you wish you could do? Tough Mudder, 5k, marathon?…………

-Find something to inspire you. When my little one came along, juggling life got fairly
challenging. However, he is my inspiration. I want to set an example and be his hero!

– Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day! Do not outpace yourself as you are then
destined to fail. Take it slow to start and build your momentum/strength/confidence.

– Use your L-fit personal trainer for advice and accountability. We are here for you no
matter how often you change your goals or for how long your journey may take!

– Plan, plan, plan! Consider a journey to a new destination without a map. If you don’t
plan your route, it’s going to take a hell of a lot longer to reach your destination!

– Be kind to yourself. You are trying and you will get there in time. You are on track
and that is what counts. You are doing great!
